Shayan’s pathway into business setup and residency solutions developed gradually. While operating businesses in Canada, he began reviewing how taxation and residency work across different jurisdictions, mainly to understand how entrepreneurs manage growth and reinvestment over time.

As part of that research, he examined international business setups and observed that many founders remain in high-tax environments simply because they follow familiar systems. Alternatives existed, but the available information was fragmented, often outdated, and difficult to assess clearly.

Later, while working with Kevin McKenzie, who was exploring similar questions from his own experience, Shayan recognized the broader opportunity around relocation to Dubai and supporting clients moving to a more tax-efficient environment. Their discussions were practical and focused – centered on what actually works, what does not, and where existing setup services in Dubai fall short in terms of clarity and accountability.

GenZone was formed to address those gaps. The objective was never to promote shortcuts, but to build a structured service around compliance, clear communication, and predictable execution. Every process was designed to be understandable, repeatable, and legally sound.

Today, as Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Shayan remains closely involved in GenZone’s operations, working with entrepreneurs and investors to establish businesses and residency in the UAE through straightforward, compliant structures that support long-term operational freedom.
